Jessica Castle is on the faculty at Oregon Health & Science University as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology. She received her medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and subsequently stayed to complete internal medicine residency and endocrinology fellowship training. She sees patients at the Harold Schnitzer Diabetes Health Center and is also very active in clinical research. The focus of her NIH-funded research is treating patients with type 1 diabetes using an artificial pancreas system. Her research interests also include novel insulin formulations, glucose sensor technology, and stable glucagon formulations. She is passionate about advocacy for people with diabetes and is on the JDRF board, Oregon & Washington Chapter.
