Dr. David Kerr is Director of Research and Innovation at Sansum Diabetes Research Institute, Santa Barbara, CA and Director of mHealth Services for the Diabetes Technology Society. Previously he was Consultant Physician at the Bournemouth Diabetes and Endocrine Centre in the UK.

Dr Kerr’s research continues to focus on the use of technology for diabetes care including the artificial pancreas and also the new area of digital health. He is creator and co-founder of www.DiabetesTravel.org and www.excarbs.com author of more than 200 peer-reviewed articles, Editor-in-Chief for Diabetes Digest (UK), and a regular blogger for the BMJ (http://blogs.bmj.com/bmj/category/david-kerr/).
