Bill Long

Bill brings 25 years of venture capital and investment banking experience in the San Francisco Bay Area to Stonepine Advisors. Prior to Stonepine Advisors, Bill was an executive at Mohr Davidow Ventures, where worked with technology, life science and clean tech companies on equity and debt financing, as well as, and advised on mergers and acquisitions. His venture capital experience also includes co-heading TriplePoint Capital’s Private Equity Group where he invested with other leading venture capital and private equity firms and has a distinguished record of investment performance. Bill’s investment banking experience includes serving as a senior banker at JPMorgan in San Francisco and at predecessor Hambrecht & Quist, where he worked with a number of internet, technology and life science clients on raising capital and providing advice on mergers and acquisitions.

Bill began his investment banking career at Alex. Brown & Sons in Baltimore and San Francisco.  Bill is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of Satellite Healthcare, Inc.  Satellite Healthcare is a $350 million in revenue healthcare services company with the primary business of developing and operating kidney dialysis centers. Satellite also owns a clinical reference lab, and genomics testing lab.  Bill recently served as Executive Chairman at Satellite, where he led the company through a management succession plan. Bill holds a B.A. in Business from the Loyola University, Baltimore.
