Andrew Bremer, MD, PhD

Dr. Andrew A. Bremer joined the NIDDK’s Division of Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolic Diseases in November 2013. He is a board-certified internist, pediatrician, and pediatric endocrinologist, and has a Ph.D. in pharmacology. Prior to joining the NIH, he was an Associate Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. One of his areas of interest is diabetes technology and his current portfolios at NIDDK include the management of advanced clinical trials testing the long-term safety and efficacy of artificial pancreas device systems. In addition, he is the Project Scientist or Program Official on several large NIDDK-supported multi-center clinical trials for children and adults with type 1 and type 2 diabetes.
