Dr. Leslie Eiland is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Diabetes, Endocrinology & Metabolism at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She is Medical Director of the Endocrine Telehealth Program and Physician Champion for Telehealth at Nebraska Medicine.
Dr. Eiland obtained her undergraduate degree in anthropology from the University of Notre Dame, and attended medical school at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She completed her internal medicine residency at Emory, and her fellowship in Diabetes, Endocrinology & Metabolism at UNMC.
Dr. Eiland’s main clinical interest is providing endocrine care via methods other than in-person visits. In addition in to telehealth clinics, she is developing workflows for EConsults and EVisits for her division. She is also a content expert for ECHO Siouxland, an endocrinology-focused Project ECHO open to providers at Federally Qualified Health Centers in Nebraska and Iowa.
