Michelle Griffith, MD is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolism at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Telehealth has been part of her practice since 2013, when she was on faculty at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Dr. Griffith currently serves as Medical Director of Ambulatory Telehealth Services for VUMC, advocating for and supporting telehealth initiatives and growth across the medical center. She also serves as a subject matter expert for population health at VUMC, helping to design clinical initiatives that support the care of patients with diabetes. Broadly, she is interested in innovative methods of health care delivery, and is a member of the Endocrine Society’s Innovative Models of Care Task Force. She has published several papers related to telehealth, particularly its use in endocrinology, and has been awarded the 2019 Telehealth Champion Award by the South Central Telehealth Resource Center.
