Anila Bindal, MD, is the Associate Medical Director of Abbott’s Diabetes Care business in the U.S. (East Region). She is passionate about how food and movement can be a form of medicine and has displayed this passion as an endocrinologist for nearly a decade.

Since she joined Abbott in 2022, Anila’s focus has been on education, research, and access to the FreeStyle Libre continuous glucose monitoring portfolio. Her goal is to make living with diabetes more manageable as well as work towards health equity for diabetes technology.

Before joining Abbott, Dr. Bindal was a practicing endocrinologist at Northwestern University Medicine in Chicago, IL. Once she completed training, she worked at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL, where she was the co-founder of Rush’s Cardiometabolic Center.
