Dr. Bally at the University of Bern, Switzerland. Her research focuses on the use of medical devices and e-health technologies for the management and prevention of metabolic diseases. She has a particular interest in the use of closed-loop (automated insulin delivery) systems to improve outcomes for people with diabetes, both in the inpatient and outpatient setting. Her recent research studies evaluated the efficacy and safety of a fully closed-loop approach for the management of hyperglycaemia in hospital. Her goals is to broaden access to digital technology and implementation, developing educational tools for healthcare professionals and people with metabolic diseases to ultimately support wider adoption and reimbursement.
