Dr. Rushakoff is Medical Director for Inpatient Diabetes and Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. His activities for the past 30 years have revolved around education and research to improve the management and outcomes for inpatients with diabetes. He has pioneered internet interactive mandatory training for physicians, nurses and pharmacists and continues to introduce new innovations on all areas of inpatient diabetes management including the virtual inpatient diabetes service and automating insulin dosing. He was a member of the Endocrine Society committee writing new guidelines for inpatient diabetes management with those guidelines published in 2022.
