Lauren Waterman is a second-year pediatric endocrinology fellow at Children’s Hospital Colorado and the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes. She received her medical degree from and later completed an Internal Medicine-Pediatrics residency at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
Her primary research interests include diabetes and healthcare economics. She is particularly interested in the potential benefits of inpatient use of technology like CGMs. She is also leading her fellowship QI project to develop pump failure action plans for patients and their families. Additionally, she is the recipient of the T32 grant to study the impact of recent Colorado legislation on the price of insulin and how concerns about insulin cost affect healthcare utilization.
