WEbinar: Advanced Glycation End products (AGEs)

A fundamental cause of aging and complications of diabetes and other chronic diseases

Diabetes Technology Society (DTS), led by Dr. David Klonoff, and Kitalys Institute, led by Dr. Alexander Fleming, are partnering to host an important discussion of “Advanced Glycation End Products (AGEs).” AGEs are a major target for slowing the aging process and preventing and reversing the complications of diabetes and other chronic diseases. Leading experts will summarize the importance of AGEs by examining their structure, pathological implications, and predictive value for complications in individuals both with and without diabetes. AGEs are both therapeutic targets and biomarkers strongly implicated in the biology of aging and the development of multiple degenerative diseases and disabilities, including diabetes, atherosclerosis, chronic kidney disease, and Alzheimer's disease.  Increased understanding of AGEs will lead to treatments and diagnostics for slowing and reversing the complications of aging, diabetes, and other chronic diseases.
